5 Things You Need to Do To Prepare For Black Friday Shopping

Create A New Email: I know you probably already have a personal email and most likely a different email for work. To get some of the best deals, you will need an email account. But you don’t want all the deals and ads clogging up your regular email.
Create Your Black Friday Budget: One of the most important things you can do to set yourself up for deal-seeking success is to determine your budget. No deal is a good deal if you can’t afford it.
Make Your Gift List: Now that you know how much you can spend, make a list of the people you will buy gifts for and how much of your budget you want to spend on them. There are a lot of great apps that make the process easy. Christmas Gift List is a free android app that tracks your gifts and money spent. It’s also password-protected to keep what's wrapped up under wraps. For iPhone users, the free Santa's Bag app also keeps track of your budget and purchases, plus you can mark gifts that are already wrapped.
Sign-up For Loyalty Programs and Apps: Here is where that new email comes in handy. Go to the websites of your favorite stores and sign up for their reward programs. Nearly every major store has one. Here are some of my favorites: Target’s Cartwheel app offers coupons and gift cards with purchases to members. Plus, you will automatically save 5% when you use Target’s RedCard debit card. It’s free and links to your existing checking account. Plus, there is a great promotion right now: if you sign up for the RedCard debit or credit card by November 3, you will get a coupon for $25 off a $100 qualifying purchase. Kohl’s and JC Penney’s reward programs offer $5 or $10 rewards when you spend a certain amount. They also send out free rewards and coupons. You can get a lot of free gifts from Coca-Cola’s reward program. Have you ever noticed those numbers on the inside of a Diet Coke lid? Right now, you can use those codes for free movie tickets, photo books, and magazines.
Rewards Websites: Use Swagbucks to get gift cards for doing such things as reading emails, doing web searches, taking surveys, and shopping online. Earn hundreds of dollars of gift cards through them. Right now, you can get a $3 Walmart gift card just for signing up for Swagbucks.
