8 Layer Taco Dip

Ingredients:

Pantry ingredients: Green onion (1/2 cup diced), taco seasoning (1 packet), sliced olives (optional), sour cream (16 ounces).

Let’s Cook!
Drain and rinse can of chili beans very well, then crush into a paste. Blend in packet of taco seasoning. (If having trouble blending, warm beans slightly, mix seasoning in, then allow to cool.) Mix 16 ounces sour cream and 8 ounces softened cream cheese until well blended. Make rice according to package directions, allow to cool. Drain can of diced tomatoes well. Shred block of cheese. Dice 1/2 cup green onion.
Spread seasoned beans on a platter. Spread layer of cream cheese and sour cream. Then make layers of rice, half the jar of salsa, tomato, onion, lettuce, shredded cheese, and olives (optional), in that order. Chill before serving with tortilla chips. Offer fresh apples, strawberries, and grapes with Jell-O product of choice for dessert.
