Let's Cook!
Precook 2 1/2 cups (cooked volume) rice. Cook and crumble 6-8 strips bacon and dice chicken. Mince 1 clove garlic and thinly slice 1/4 cup onion. Place frozen vegetables in a colander and thaw under running cool water.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a glass or ceramic baking dish with butter or cooking spray. Mix garlic, jar of Alfredo, 1/3 cup chicken broth, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Gently incorporate rice, bacon, chicken, vegetables, onion, and 1/2 cup shredded cheese. Move to ready baking dish and bake (uncovered) for 25-30 minutes.
Serve with tea and sliced apples. Offer ice cream bars for dessert.
