It's almost officially July, folks, which means it's time for more savings and summer fun. Here are the best items to buy because you can score big savings on them this month.
Outdoor Items
Massive deals and promotions revolve around outdoor items in July. Check out your favorite outdoors stores to see what promos are hot this month — stores like Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, Dick's Sporting Goods, and more. Whether you need sports items or camping and fishing items, you can expect to see awesome deals in the coming weeks.
You might also be tempted to buy grills and barbeque items after July 4th when these items appear to be on sale, but don't be fooled. Wait until the fall months to REALLY save on grill items — that's the time when these items are truly priced to clear.
Back to School
August is back to school month in most states, which means you'll want to start prepping to buy your kids their school supplies.
However, remember that tax-free weekend begins on July 31st this year. Don't buy the items you can buy on tax-free weekend any sooner.
However, there are TONS of sales to watch for regarding other important school items throughout the month of July. Research what to wait to buy during tax-free weekend, and for the rest of the items, buy them during sales and promos going on this month.
Summer Fun Clothing and Bathing Suits
Tons of retailers have sales and promotions on Summer clothing and swimwear, so take advantage of those deals now! Places like Target, Walmart, and even Old Navy offer amazingly low prices on these clothing items.
Watch out for bathing suits and swim trunks, shorts, tees and tanks, flips flops, and more. These items are almost always on sale in July at at least one big box retailer at any given time.
House Paint
It seems silly, but stores like Lowe's, Home Depot, and Sherwin-Williams tend to have great sales on house paint during the month of July. If you've been tossing around the idea of repainting some rooms in your home or you have an upcoming renovation project in the works, now is the time to buy the paint for that project.
