One of the greatest financial tragedies I regularly hear are good, hard-working men and women who refuse to even consider using coupons. They have some belief that strategically using coupons will never work with their lifestyle and that it would be a waste of their time.
As an ultra-busy father and husband, you could have easily chalked me up as one of those people many years ago. My belief was that coupons were for people who wanted to sit around and clip 20 cent coupons for products they didn't need. They would buy junk food and it would end up going to waste. I also thought that it would be a poor use of my time. After all, I had a job that paid me more than $5 an hour – and I figured that that's all I would earn by becoming a coupon clipper.
In just a few short months, I saw the error in my ways as I turned a couple hours invested each week into saving $400 a month for my family. I'm sure nearly everybody reading this will agree, $30 to $50 an hour is darn good money! Show me any other job that with just a couple hours training, you can consistently and legally earn this kind of money. It doesn't exist.
I'd like to offer you this job starting today and help you earn $30 to $50 an hour for your family. You may think this sounds too good to be true and if you struggle with the word “coupon”, let me calm your fears by answering some common objections to getting started with the work.
It's a waste of my time. I won't really save that much money unless I spend endless hours getting blisters from clipping.
You've either been watching too much of TLC's Extreme Couponing or you have a 1980's view of what couponing is today. Both are unrealistic and not what most SavingsAngel.com shoppers do. The fact is, more families lead active, busy lifestyles than ever before. Devoting 8-15 hours a week to clipping coupons and comparing your pile of coupons with every sale ad just isn't realistic for most of us. Let technology do the work for you and get the job done much faster.
When the coupons come out in your Sunday paper, put your scissors away and simply file those coupons. With today's technology, you can instantly find where the best deals are in your town and exactly which coupons to clip whether they arrived this week or a month ago. This also includes accessing 1,717 different Internet-printable coupons, which are available this week. You can watch a video that explains this system at http://sa2.me/noclipping.
I can't get excited about 25 cent coupons.
Again, put your jelly shoes and skinny ties away because you are thinking of 1980s era coupons. According to NCH Marketing Services, the average face value of today's manufacturer coupon is $1.46.
I can't get excited about $1.46.
It's not just $1.46. You could save an average of $1.46 on each product you put in your cart just in coupons. This doesn't include strategic shopping of the biggest sale items matched with the highest value coupons. A coupon by itself is good. A sale by itself is good. A sale and a coupon combined is savings magic.
Now… multiply this across nearly every item you put in your cart and you can see how easy it is to save $60 or more on a single shopping trip. A cart full of products at 60% to 70% off means a 60% to 70% reduction in your total shopping bill. The average American family spends more than $700 a month on groceries. I see earning more $400 a month in your future!
Coupons are only for junk food.
I've written on and speak about this subject all the time. As someone who has lost more than fifty pounds after I started couponing, I can tell you that couponing will give you more choices at the grocery store on a fixed budget. More options equals the opportunity to make healthier choices for your family. Healthier food equals healthier bodies. Yes. You can find plenty of sales and coupons for junk food. You can also find more coupons and sales than ever before for whole, minimally processed foods, which are low in fat, sugar, and everything, else that you'll want to avoid if healthy living is your priority. I just did a quick search in our database and this week alone, there are 60 coupons available for organic products.
I'll just waste food.
On the contrary, you'll have a rewarding opportunity to create a surplus at home ““ which can become your family's safety net should you need to cut back on nearly all grocery expenses. When my family and I suffered with job loss, we were able to eat on $40 a month ““ enough to cover our fresh produce thanks to the food we had saved over the past several months. As you rotate product and donate what you won't use, you'll waste no more than you might waste now. The upside is being prepared for the future and you'll be able to become a giver from your abundance.
If there are no further questions, let me the first to say”¦
You're hired!
