Delicious, In Season Summer Produce
I always encourage my readers to purchase affordable produce that's easy on their wallets and their palettes. It's the peak of summer, which means summer produce is delicious and inexpensive. Here's a list of what produce to incorporate into your diet this summer and where to find them!
Fruits
There are tons of in season summer fruits to choose from. Anything from apples, apricots, and bananas to nearly every type of berry, honeydew melon, limes, mangoes, peaches, and more.
Many household staple fruits are in season, which means their prices are at an all time low. There are usually constant deals on seasonal fruits at your local grocery store, so keep an eye out for sales on your favorites. Don't forget to check your grocery store's weekly ads for these sales, too!
Vegetables
Veggies are definitely an important food group in my home, and they're the perfect addition to any barbeque or summer family meal. Veggies in season this summer include avocados, bell peppers, carrots, corn, garlic, various herbs, cucumber, and more. These all make amazing additions to any diet and any meal, so watch out for these. Not to mention they are priced lower when they are in season.

Farmers' Markets
Don't forget about searching your local farmers' markets for the lowest prices on the freshest produce. Oftentimes, this produce is organic and priced lower than organic produce from your grocery store. You'll also be supporting local businesses and agriculture.
