FREE meals for vets on Veterans Day 2015

Veterans day label or sealThere is a plethora of restaurants offering FREE meals for vets on Veterans Day 2015. Veterans, active duty, inactive, and retired military personnel will receive some sort of FREE or discounted meal deal on November 11.

We’ve put together a list of some of the participating restaurants. This list is not exhaustive but will hopefully include at least one restaurant in your area. Local TV and radio stations may be advertising other restaurants that aren't listed here.

It’s wise to check with your favorite restaurants to be sure they are participating before heading out and some may take reservations or have call ahead seating to cut down on the potential waiting time.

2015 Veterans Day restaurant offerings:

Applebee’s — Veterans and active duty military receive a free meal from a limited menu, on November 11. Beverage and gratuity not included.

BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse– Free entree, up to $12.95 value. Offer valid to all active duty military and veterans, with proof of service on November 11.

Bob Evans — Veterans and active military personnel receive a free breakfast from a select menu on November 11.

Chili’s — Veterans and active military service members get a free entrée from a limited menu on November 11. Not every Chili's location is participating, so you should check with your local Chili’s before you head out just to confirm that they're having this free meal.

Cracker Barrel — Veterans get a complimentary Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake dessert during lunch and dinner on November 11. Cracker Barrel is encouraging guests to purchase the Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake on Nov. 11 and select retail items from now until Nov. 11 to support the USO’s Transition 360 Alliance, an initiative that assists military personnel and their families.

Denny’s
— Active, inactive and retired military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam on November 11, from 5 a.m. to noon at participating locations. Call ahead if you want to be sure your local Denny’s is participating.

Fazoli’s Free build your own pasta bowl for veterans with discharge card and active military with ID or uniform on November 11.

Golden Corral — Golden Corral Restaurants' Military Appreciation Night free dinner will be available on November 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Military retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard and Reserves are all welcome.

IHOP
— On November 11, participating IHOP Restaurants offer veterans and active duty military free Red, White and Blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Little Caesars — Veterans and active military members receive a free $5 Lunch Combo from 11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. on November 11 at participating locations. The free $5 Lunch Combo features four slices of Little Caesars popular Detroit-style DEEP!DEEP!™ Dish pizza, paired with a 20-ounce Pepsi product.

O’Charley’s – Veterans and active duty service members get a free $9.99 meal on November 9. Options include O’Charley’s Famous Chicken Tenders & Twisted Chips, Cowboy Sirloin, Homestyle Chicken Pot Pie and Santa Fe Tilapia, among others. In addition to free meals, veterans will continue to enjoy Free Pie Wednesday on November 11, choosing from signature pies such as Double-Crust Peach, Southern Pecan, French Silk, Country Apple and Ooey Gooey Caramel.

Olive Garden – On November 11, all veterans and current service members get a free meal from a limited menu. Family members dining with them enjoy 10% off of their meals.

On the Border
— Veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free meal from the “Create Your Own Combo menu” on November  11. The”Create Your Own Combo menu,” is a “choose 2” or “choose 3” menu  (valued up to $10.79).

Outback Steakhouse – All active and former service members receive a free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage on November 11. Outback is also offering active and former service members 15% off their meals Nov. 12 through Dec. 31.

Ponderosa Steakhouse — From 4pm-close, all former and current military service men and women enjoy a free buffet (beverage not included) from participating Ponderosa locations on November 11.

Red Lobster
— Service members past and present receive a complimentary appetizer or dessert from a special menu. Proof of service required. Valid Monday, November 9 through Thursday, November 12, 2015.

Red Robin – Veterans and active duty military get a free Red’s Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on November 11.

Ruby Tuesday
— Veterans, active duty and reserve service members get a free appetizer on November 11. There are several options on the menu. Not all locations are participating, so be sure to call ahead and confirm participation of your local Ruby Tuesday before heading out for this offer.

Shoney's — Shoney's will offer a free All-American Burger to veterans and active duty service members on November 11. Dine-in only, Proof of Service required. Shoney’s also offers a 15% everyday hometown heroes discount (military, fire, Police, EMT).

Texas Roadhouse — Texas Roadhouse locations nationwide will offer veterans a free lunch on November 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Veterans can select one of ten different entrees. Offer is good for active duty, retired or former U.S. military.

TGIFridays — Veterans and active duty military get a free lunch from a select menu on November 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dine-on only at participating locations.
