Every year Black Friday falls on the first Friday after Thanksgiving, and this year it’s on November 29.

Keep in mind that most of the biggest retailers will also offer big discounts much earlier in the month, so remember to look out for great deals ahead of Black Friday!

• To make the best of Black Friday deals you have to plan ahead.

Check your local news websites because they’ll be full of ads from the biggest retailers and brands. Take note of whether the deals are time-specific. Some deals, like doorbusters, may be limited to certain hours!

 

• Spend some time researching the products that you plan to buy.

Make sure that you go for the brands that have a reputation for good quality and excellent customer service. Careful research will ensure that you’re getting the best brands or the best prices!

 

• Compare the prices of the products and make sure that you are comparing apples-to-apples.

Check that the product on sale has all of the features that you want and that it comes with all of the components that you need. What may look like a bargain may actually lack essential accessories or features, meaning you need to buy more items!

 

• Plan your shopping trip!

You will save yourself a lot of time and frustration if you plan your route ahead of time. Know where you need to go to get the best deals! You may find that some malls offer special discounts for those who spend a certain amount, so make sure to do your homework!

 

• If you plan to go online bargain hunting, it pays to have registered on the website ahead of time.

The best deals often come in limited stock, and this stock could run out when you stop to fill in your credit card details.

 

• Acquaint yourself with the return policy of every retailer.

It helps to know the terms and conditions before you pay!

 

 

Where to find the best Black Friday deals

Every major retailer will have Black Friday deals and you’re likely to find discounts from your favorite stores.

We’ve done a short rundown of what to expect from three of the biggest retailers.

 

Walmart:

Black Friday deals at Walmart start at 10 pm ET on Wednesday, November 27.

Cyber Monday will start on Sunday, December 1.

Walmart has already released its Black Friday deals, so there are no secrets!

With nearly 40 pages of deals, you can find televisions, laptops, smartphones, and appliances all at great prices.

 

Amazon:

Amazon Black Friday deals will begin on Friday, November 22. 

Some of the best deals on Amazon are in electronic goods, home theatre, and video tech.

Last year, the best steals off of Amazon included Echo, Fire, and Kindle devices.

Amazon will heavily discount almost all of the Amazon devices during their Black Friday sale.

If there are newly introduced Amazon electric devices that you’d like to own, Black Friday will offer you deals that are unlikely to be offered again until Amazon’s Prime Day in July.

The Echo Dot, for example, will drop from $50 to $22!

If you’re going the Amazon route on Black Friday, you should also look through their bundle deals. Last year they bundled security cameras with doorbells at a fraction of the price.

 

Best Buy:

Whether you’re an online shopper or prefer the hands-on, brick-and-mortar approach, you can do either if you’re buying at Best Buy!

Best Buy does not limit its bargains to Black Friday and will offer deals across a range of products a lot earlier in the month.

Black Friday deals officially open online on November 28 at 12 am and in-store at 5 pm.

Last year, Best Buy had a range of premium brand televisions at super low prices.

This is also one of a handful of places that stock Amazon and Google devices.

Several of these products were heavily discounted during last year’s sale.

One of this year’s hottest deals is that various flat-screen TVs will be offered at just below $100.

 

Travel Deals:

Use Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals to take the entire family to Orlando, Florida through Visit Orlando’s website.

Black Friday offers Visit Orlando’s best deals of the year. You can save up to 10% on your entire order of tickets that are already discounted.

You can get a Disney World 4-Park Magic Ticket for up to $55 off with a water park upgrade for no extra charge.

Universal Orlando Resort is also offering Black Friday deals, with BOGO park passes and up to $135 off your purchase.

Plus, SeaWorld Orlando is offering savings of up to $74 dollars per ticket, with several deal options to fit anyone’s needs.

Black Friday deals are also being offered through Visit Orlando for LEGOLAND Florida Resort, Gatorland, Madame Tussauds Orlando, and more.
